Biography
Stephen Minus is an artist at Studio 28 in Larkspur, California. He has worked as an architect and a preschool teacher. He earned an MArch from Rice University after attending Brown University.
Statement
Sometimes I will notice a cast of light or a landscape because I’ve seen a painting of something similar.
One reason I paint is to become more conscious of what I see around me all the time.
But I've come to think that it's ok to paint for it's own sake, just as It’s ok to listen to Mozart’s music because it’s beautiful, and deepens our appreciation of life. Whether or not it helps our math.
